February Pinchme Box

"It's Pinchme Day!" My baby sister sends me this reminder every other Tuesday morning. For those of you who don't know what Pinchme is, it's a company that allows consumers to sample products from different brands. So essentially you get to test drive products risk-free and then decide if the product is worth investing your coins into. I love it!!

I have kids and bills. So I hate when I invest in products and they turn out to be duds. In my mind, I'm usually thinking about how that money would have probably been put to better use if I had known beforehand that it wasn't worth spending any coins on. Also, on Pinchme, you can leave feedback that gets sent to the brand. So if a hair company has a shampoo that claims to be for all hair types but you're a curly girl and that shampoo did nothing for you, you can let them know.

All in all, I think Pinchme is a win-win for brands and consumers. Now on the samples. This month I only got three samples but I enjoyed them all. Keep reading to get all the deets on what I got in my box. Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, there are affiliate links in the rest of this post. What I Got In My Pinchme Box This Month

Dove Exfoliating Body Polish

This was the sample that I was most looking forward to trying.  I've been a fan of the Dove brand for years.  Seriously, my sensitive skin really appreciates them and responds best to their products.  And I'm happy to see that they're starting to incorporate more natural ingredients into their products.

Anyways, I got the Crushed Macadamia & Rice Milk body polish.  This product also comes in Pomegranate & Shea Butter (I really wanted this one) as well as Kiwi Seeds & Cool Aloe.

What I loved about the Exfoliating Body Polish is that it has just the right grit to it. You get enough friction to scrub away any dead skin that's on the surface. At the same time, it's not so rough, that it leaves you feeling like you've just scrubbed your protective layer of skin off along with it though.

I think this would be great to for rough knees and elbows. I even saved some of my sample to give myself an at-home pedicure. This stuff will have your skin feeling smoother than a baby's bottom! I've already ordered the Pomegranate Seeds & Shea Butter. I'll keep y'all posted on if it works just as good.

Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo & Conditioner

This was the next product I was excited to have in my February Pinchme Box.  I've been seeing ads for Garnier's Whole Blend line almost everywhere - tv, Facebook, magazines, etc.  So I've been itching to try it out for a while.  However, I've had some hits and misses with Garnier.  (See above where I talk about wasted coins.)

In my Pinchme Box, I got the Oat Delicacy shampoo and conditioner. I have to be honest and say that I was a bit disappointed with the sample size. Both packets were less than halfway filled with product. So here's the thing, I'm a curly girl with lots of thick hair. The size of the shampoo sample wasn't that bad as I usually just apply shampoo to my scalp and roots and not my ends.

Now when it came time to use the conditioner, I had to do my best to distribute it evenly throughout my hair and worked it in as best I could. I mainly focused on the outer layer so I could see and feel if it made any changes to my hair.

When all was said and done, I did notice that my hair was softer. Detangling wasn't as intensive as it usually is and my hair smelled AMZAING!! It's been almost a week later and my hair is still smelling good y'all.

So, I'm definitely going to go ahead and try out some of their other blends like the Castor Oil & Maple Extract, the Moroccan Argan & Camellia, and the Honey Treasures.

RXBAR Kids Protein Bar

I've heard nothing but good things about the RXBAR brand.  So I was happy to finally get the chance to try these out.  Right out the gate, I love that these bars are made with all natural ingredients, no GMO, artificial coloring or any fishy chemicals/ingredients.

My protein bar came in the Chocolate Chip flavor and it was delicious.  I will say that if you are not a fan of naturally sweetened treats, this bar may or may not be for you.  I love foods that are naturally sweetened and don't have any added sugar to sweeten them up.

Now while I did enjoy it, I don't know if I would buy these a regular basis because my kids do have nut allergies.  I almost never bring anything with nuts in the house and if I do, I wait until they're gone to bed before I eat it.  Then, I afterward I bleach down the area I enjoyed the treat in and change my clothes.  I go the whole nine yards because nut allergies are nothing to play with.  I've seen first hand with my daughter how serious they are.

I'm going to see if these are sold as singles.  And that way I can treat myself to one bar here and there and won't have to worry about the kids getting into a whole box of them.

Well, that's it for my February Pinchme Box samples.  I can't wait to see what samples they have available for this month.  If you haven't signed up for Pinchme but love trying out products before you buy them click here to sign up.
